What do you know about Marfan's Syndrome? If you are like me a few short months ago, you probably have never even heard of it. Chances are good that you have heard of seemingly healthy high school or college athletes suddenly collapsing and dying while participating in their sport of choice due to an undetected "heart condition". There is a high likihood that the "heart condition" was attributable to a genetic disorder affecting connective tissues including the heart called Marfan's Syndrome.
I would like to encourage you to take a few minutes to study the characteristic traits of a Marfan patient in hopes that you will be knowlegable enough to possibly prevent one of these tragic stories from occuring.
